Are you where you thought you'd be?

As we reach the end of another year, I wonder if where you are now, what you are now currently involved in doing and what you're currently thinking about is anything like what you had imagined it would be twelve months ago.
I know it's not for me. A year ago I was a youth pastor in London and had just launched an exciting vision for the future of the youth ministry there. God has other plans for me, it was clear to see in the months that followed, and so now I find myself at CPAS with the opportunity to hopefully be a positive influence and encouragement to those of us privileged to be involved with youth work.
I love the Christmas imagery of the star, how that led the wise men to where Jesus was. Linked with this, Jesus describes himself as the light of the world, someone to follow. As I reflect on this year, I feel that I have tried to follow this light wherever it may take me, even if it meant uprooting my family and moving to the midlands.
I wonder what will be happening a year from now. I do know that I want to keep following that light. I hope you'll join me for the journey.
Hope you have a great Christmas,

Andy
